RS-420 – Minimizing false alarms with video analytics.

As an additional measure to minimize false alarm occurrences, ARTSYS360° has developed a Video Analytics (VA) module where in cases that the RS-400 radar system is integrated with a Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) camera, the radar serves as the preliminary detector, takes control of the camera and directs it towards the detected threat. In turn, the video analytics performs video based detection, tracking and classification. This serves as an additional layer of verification and decreases false alarm occurrences.

The video analytics module is based on advanced image and signal processing algorithms.

The Video Analytics provides the user with:

• On screen display of region-of-interest (ROI)
• On screen color marking of targets according to video analytics results: Red – no detection in the ROI, Blue – Target was detected by VA, Green – Target classified by VA
• On screen targets’ trail
• PTZ camera automatic enslavement
• User selectable “Target to be tracked” – in cases of multiple targets, the user may select toward which target the camera will be directed towards via “Map” or “Active Target List”
